WHO WE ARE
The Ellenbecker Trading Company is a small, family-owned and operated business based in the Midwest. Founded in 1984, we strive to bring our clients the finest Zapotec handmade weavings that are of the highest quality.
Each weaving is imported from the village of Teotitlan in southern Mexico. These weavings originate from a culture where family is the center of life and the vast majority of people still work in their homes.
The Ellenbecker Trading Company regularly travels to Teotitlan to personally select the finest weavings for our clients. In fact, we have been doing so for almost 30 years.
No other importers have this type of close, personal relationship with the weavers of Teotitlan, and we are honored to be a part of the Zapotec artisan tradition.
